DINAMIKA PSIKOLOGI PERILAKU SEHAT MASYARAKAT LAMBOYA SUMBA BARAT YANG HIDUP DI “ KATONGA KATONGA”

2000 | Tesis |Health problems are very related to the behavior of society, especially in West Sumba Lamboya. For the purpose of this research is to understand the psychological dynamics associated with healthy behaviors within the community custom house Sumba / uma katonga. Pattern of life of local communities affected by the existing culture. Cultural influence of this powerful belief system rooted in the belief that society Marapu (original beliefs of Sumba). Culture uma katonga cause people do not pay attention to their health, so that the malaria spreading remain to be high. This study used a phenomenological qualitative approach that will explore the phenomenon of psychological dynamics of each of the respondents who live in uma katonga, thus achieved an understanding of the complexity of phenomena. Respondents in this study were four men and one informant. The fourth respondent is a native of the village and informants are migrants who live around these villages who understands the culture and healthy lifestyles of local communities. The research questions are: how the psychological dynamics people who live in uma katonga? and how healthy behaviors in the community uma katonga associated with the spread of malaria?. The study further found that the psychological dynamics that form on healthy behaviors socialize Lamboya background overshadowed by factors: individual (comfortable, proud, pride); social (Marapu beliefs, culture, low education) and information (low human resource, the lack of medium / media). In between all elements Marapu and cultural beliefs that become the main control in the community so that behavior remains with the pattern of life that does not support the health and malaria which is considered the highest disease rates are at Lamboya become the norm and not feared by the local community. This is what causes malaria is difficult to be eradicated.
