Ambonese conflict is a destruction system, as a result, ahuman are faced with physical tragedies, mistrust to others, and emotional trauma, cause of that a people need to improving forgiveness behavior as a reconstruction of break relationship. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of social identity and intergroup contact of intergroup forgiveness on victim community after conflict Ambon. The hypothesis of this research is (1) there is a relation between social identity and intergroup contact toward intergroup forgiveness. (2). There is a relation beetwen social identity and intergroup forgiveness. (3). There is a relation beetwen integroup contact and intergroup forgiveness. Approach social identity theory and intergroup contact theory is important to improvingf relation, especially intergroup forgiveness. therefore explore concept of intergroup relations at Ambon, like conflict and pela-gandong culture, be a conception of this research. The data were collected based on intergroup forgiveness scale, social identity scale, and intergoup contact scale. There are 100 subjects who living at Batumerah and Passo village, with this following criteria has experienced of conflict, reffugees, and has a familly die because of conflict. The multiple reggresion analysis was applied to analyze data. The research shows that there is a significant relation among social identity and intergroup contact toward integroup forgiveness with the value of F=51,698, ρ=0,000, and Rsquare=0,516. There is significant relation beetwen social identity and intergroup forgiveness (F=10,911; ρ=0,001; Rsquare=0,100), and there is a relation beetwen integroup contact and intergroup forgiveness with the value of F=96,218; ρ=0,000 and Rsquare=0,495. intergroup forgiveness is a one way of conflict resolution in intergroup relations and bases of peace concept and respons to violence. forgiveness processes be a commitment to ending violence and revange with development new relationship and based of harmonic interaction to realize common goals and improving common identity in pela and gandong.
