MANAJEMEN KELAS DITINJAU DARI TRAIT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE DAN KOMITMEN KERJA

2009 | Tesis |This study aims to examine whether classroom management can be predicted by trait emotional intelligence and work commitments. This research data was collected through three instruments, namely Classroom Management Instrument, Trait Emotional Intelligence Instrument and Occupational Commitment Instrument. Subject of this research were 67 elementary school teachers with this following criteria: (1). Served as a classroom teacher, (2). Has worked at least 10 years and (3). A civil servant. The data has been collected then analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression technique. Based on hypothesis I testing it is conclude that trait emotional intelligence and occupational commitment could not predict classroom management, with the value of F=0.790 and p> 0.05. The same thing was found in tests of hypotheses II and III which states that trait emotional intelligence and commitment of each could not be predictor of classroom management (t=0.998 and p> 0.05 for emotional intelligence; t=- 0.897 and p> 0, 05 for occupational commitment).
