This study has been designed to measure the role of childhood’s nature experiences and education in establishing pro environmental behavior, with gender as moderating variable. The study was conducted in the community of Sambak village, located at the Sub District of Kajoran, County of Magelang, which won the national award on environmentally visionary village in 2007. The subject of the study consisted of 93 persons from 10 hamlets in Sambak village. The childhood’s nature experiences scale, and the environmentally friendly scale, together with multiple regression method were employed in the data gathering and analysis. The result indicated that role of childhood nature experiences and education, with gender as moderating variable had an influence to adult pro environmental behaviour.
