This research aimed to examine the effect of two behavioral interventions: prompt and incentive to reduce littering behavior. Three elementary schools in Bandung which have problem with littering were involved in this study. The settings consist of all the classrooms and the school yards. Subjects of this research were the garbage cans which were located in and out of the classrooms. Totally, there were 66 cans, 34 were located in the classrooms and 32 were out of the classrooms or at the school yards. The dependent variable is the weight and amount of garbages disposed in cans, which measured for twelve days, six days praintervention and intervention for another six days. The results showed that neither prompt nor incentive had significantly effect in increasing weight and amount of garbage disposed in cans. The hypothesis was rejected, with F (2,60) = 0.803 p > 0.05 in weight of garbages and F (2,60) = 2.055 with p > 0.05 in amount of garbages. Additional results found that the prompt group was the biggest anorganic garbage producer with 1189.95 ounces garbages in twelve days of research. The smallest producer was the incentive group, which produced ‘only’ 989.80 ounces at the same time. Moreover, location of cans had significantly effect to increase disposing garbage properly, with F (1,60) = 8.946 p
