This research aims at knowing the relation among self efficacy, optimism, education and year of service to the openness to change. The hypothesis raised is as follows (1) There is a relation among self efficacy, optimism, education and year of service to openness to change at employees of Ahmad Dahlan University Jogjakarta, (2) There is a positive relation between self efficacy to openness to change, (3) There is a positive relation between optimism to openness to change, (4) There is a positive relation between educational to openness to change, and (5) There is a negative relation between year of service to openness to change at employees of Ahmad Dahlan University Jogjakarta. The research’s instruments used are the the self efficacy questionnaire, the optimism questionnaire, the openness to change questionnaire, the educational level and the year of service documentation. The sampling technique used the proportional stratified sampling technique, that is 165 Ahmad Dahlan University employees. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis.
