The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of communication to increase interpersonal relationship. Subjects in this research amounted to 75 nurses of Mitra Masyarakat hospital in Timika Papua divided to become 2 groups, experiment group amount to 38 and control groups amount to 37 subjects. The groups filled out interpersonal relationship scale before (pre test) and after (post test) training. Results showed that interpersonal relationship scores of subjects in the experiment group was higher than the control group. Communication training effectively increased interpersonal relationship of the subjects. Key word : Interpersonal relationship, communication
