The study purposed to test empirically about the relationship between learning motivation and academic self-concept with long term memory in Hafidz Al-Qur’an’s. Furthermore the study aimed to find out about magnitude of relation between learning motivation and academic self-concept with long term memory in Hafidz Al-Qur’an’s. The subject of the study Hafidz Al-Qur’an’s student of Pondok Pesantren Sunan Pandan Aran Sleman Yogyakarta age within 12-21 years old. The total of sample of this study is 36 subject and choosen by random sampling. The device used in this study are scale and test type, which there are two type of scale learning motivation scale and academic self-concept scale, and the test used in this study is for measuring long term memory. Statistic model to test hypothesis used in this study is regression analysis. The result of this study showed that there is no relation between learning motivation and academic self-concept with long term memory in student of Pondok Pesantren Sunan Pandan Aran Yogyakarta which shown by Durbin-Watson = 2,204; R2 = 0,037; with p= 0,534. Therefore learning motivation variable and academic self-concept variable could not use to predict long term memory. Separately, learning motivation also showed there is no relation with long term memory as shown by Pearson corellation -0,189 with p= 0,135; and partial corellation = -0,179. Then for academic self-concept variable also showed there is no relation with long term memory as shown by Pearson corellation -0,073 and p= 0,336; and partial corellation = -0,039.
