MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN DAN PERILAKU MAKAN SEHAT PADA ANAK MELALUI PROGRAM ”SAYUR CERI

Food intake for children has shown unbalanced nutrient. The consumption of high fat and low fibrous were high. The aim of this research was to examine whether “sayur ceria” program would increase: 1) healthy eating behavior, 2) knowledge of nutrition, 3) knowledge of vegetable. Data were collected from sample of kindergarten students. The current research consists of two groups, the first gourp with “sayur ceria” program intervention and the second group with no intervention. “Sayur ceria” program intervention consists of presenting information about knowledge of nutrition, knowledge of vegetable, and peer modeling. Result shows that knowledge of nutrition increased significantly (F = 8,469, p= 0,009). Result on knowledge of vegetable has not increased significantly (F = 1,721 p = 0,206). Indication of heathy eating behavior was whether children preferring healthy food and preferring unhealthy food. Healthy food preference has not increased significantly with “sayur ceria” program intervention (F = 0,586, p = 0,454). But, children preference on unhealthy food decrease significantly (F= 3,108, p = 0,0475). The current study demonstrated that “sayur ceria” program was effective on improving knowledge of nutrition, but wasn’t effective on improving children preference on healthy food.
