The study purposed to recognize individual travel process during dating so that it can be found psychological dynamics of violence victim, in strict speaking is to recognize determinant factor of violence during dating and reveal how the victim deals with. The subject of the study is male and female (20 to 25 years old) which on status of engaging (intimate relation). Another characteristic refer to violence is that sample been suffer a loss whether physically, psychologically, economic or social by his/her couple. The data gathered from in-depth interview, observation, and focus group discussion. Several conclusions can be drawn : (1) violence during dating experienced during dating activities. Apparently the female couple suffered all kind of violence including physically, psychologically, economic, as well as social, while the male suffered psychological and economic violence; (2) relying factor can be classified in two group: internal and external. Internal factor include low self esteem and dependency upon their couple/mate. This dependency can be inform of emotional, social, economic, until willing to be on subordinate position. External factor including family, environment, economy, belief, and subject characteristic; (3) coping strategy for dealing with this issues including emotional focus coping, that is most of subject use avoidance mechanism, hiding away, cry, and anger, gathering with fellows. In addition, each subject also use problem focus coping that is searching for alternative problem solving, planning upon decision for broke-up, sharing story to the parents and family and obeying parent’s word Keyword: violence during dating and victim
