HUBUNGAN KONSEP DIRI DAN PENERIMAAN DIRI DENGAN STRES KERJA PADA PEMBANTU RUMAH TANGGA

Working as maid was risky in terms of harassment or violence because the workers are isolated in private houses. The aim of this research was to know the relation between self concept and self acceptance to work stress of household maid. This research consisted one dependent variable work stress, and two independent variables, self concept and self acceptance. Scale method was used for data collection. Subjects of the research were sixty maids in Jogjakarta. Data were analyzed by using multivariate regression analysis. The results of this research showed that there was relation very significant between self concept and self acceptance to work stress with (F = 14,934, R2 = 0,344, and p = 0,000). Self concept to work stress was correlated and very significant with (beta = 0.484, t = 4.443, and p = 0.000). Self acceptance to work stress was correlated positive and significant with (beta = 0,255, t = 2,340, and p = 0,023). Additional analysis showed that there was no difference in work stress of maid as seen from educational level (F= 1.893 and p = 0.160). There was no difference in work stress as seen from work type of their employee (F=0.187 and p = 0.830). Keywords: Work Stress, Self Concept, Self Acceptance.
