2007 | Tesis |The research was conducted for searching the correlation between the group cohesiveness and job satisfaction and the organization commitment of employees of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. In this research the organization commitment functioned as dependent variable, while group cohesiveness and job satisfaction as independent variables. The hypothesis of the research stated that there was correlation between group cohesiveness and job satisfaction and the organization commitment. Three hundred employees of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta have chosen to be the subjects of the research by using random sampling. The method of collecting data was questionnaire, which was analyzed by regression technique. The result of the analysis showed that there was significant correlation between group cohesiveness and job satisfaction and the organization commitment (R=0.697, p=0.000), the result of the research also showed the significant correlation between group cohesiveness and the organization commitment (r partial=0.402, p=0.000). There is also a proof that job satisfaction has a significant correlation on the organization commitment (r partial=0.451, p=0.000). The other result of this research showed that there was a significant different in group cohesiveness, job satisfaction, and commitment organization in several of job units.
