2007 | Tesis |Various strategies had been attempted to ensure the company’s survival from ruin, such as downsizing of the company structure, arbitrary termination of work contracts with the employees (layoffs), and merger with other companies that create inconvenience at work and finally led to high work stress among the employees. The aim of this research was to know the relation between work family conflict of women employees and perception of career development to work stress among women employees at Apac Inti Corpora Company Semarang. This study had one dependent variable, work stress, and two independent variables, career development and work family conflict. Data collection was done by using the scale method. Subjects of the research were fifty five women employees who were working at Apac Inti Corpora Company Semarang. Data were analyzed by using regression analysis. Results of study indicated that there was a very significant relationship between work family conflict and career development to work stress with F=10.667, R2=0.197, and p=0.000. Results of stepwise regression analysis found that there was a positive and very significant between work family conflict and work stress with r-partial=0.426, p=0.000, and effective contribution=16.801 percent. There was a positive and significant relationship between career development and work stress with r-partial=0.186, p=0.038, and effective contribution n=2.892 percent.
