The objective of this qualitative-descriptive study was to find out and examine the incidences of violence experienced by children as the victims of violence committed by parents in Jayapura Papua. Violence against children in this region is related to the cultural factor in the region in which the fathers have a custom to consume strong drinks to the level of being drunk during which they committed violence against their wives and children. The methods used in collecting data were in-depth interview, for ten violence victims committed by the parents, and recording, using tape recorder. This study was also equipped with observation guidelines used by the researchers when carrying out direct observations on the activities of subjects such as when they gathered with groups of street children, when they worked as porters in market places, and when they came home from school. The researchers also accompanied the victims during the Christmas celebration at the Masirey Foundation and they received Christmas presents in the forms of clothes and stationeries. The collection of data was started from November 8 2006 to December 30 2006. Result of research indicate that a lot of violence type, both for in the form of physical violence, psychological, economics and social. Violence perpetrator is father contain the stepfather, but mother also. Boy and also daughter also become the violence victim. Affect the natural by violence of child in the form of physical hurt even handicap, traumatic, losing time of school which is all the very pursuing of child growth. Therefore very psychological adjacent needed and also involvement of all party to comprehend the children right to obtain;get the protection from various act of violence.
