The research was aimed to find out the relationship between perception toward family harmony and self-monitoring with adolescent’s delinquent behaviour tendency. The population of this research were the students of SMAN 1 and SMAN 5 in Padang, a city in the province of West Sumatera. Three hundred and twenty five students completed the questionnaires but there were only 292 sets of questionnaire which were fully completed and suitable with the research characteristics. Cluster random sampling technique was used to determine the sample of the research. The characteristics of the research subject were: (1) high school students between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years old, (2) living with both of their parents, (3) male or female, (4) Moslem. The instrument used are delinquent behavior tendency scale, perception toward family harmony scale, and self-monitoring scale. All of the scales used Likert Scale Model consist of five alternative responses. Data analysis method used in this research is regression analysis. The result of the major hypothesis shows that: there is a significant relationship between perception toward family harmony and self-monitoring with adolescent’s delinquent behaviour tendency.
