GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN EFEKTIVITAS KEPEMIMPINAN (Studi Kasus Pada Program Studi X)

The purpose of this research is to reveal the style of leadership and the affectivity of the leader in X study program. Based in what was founded in followers in the study X program, so the research about style of leadership and affectiviteness of the leader in study X program will use contingency theory by Friedler. In order to see the indicators of affectiviteness of the leader to his followers and which situation so used leadership affectivity theories which public identifying feature. Type of this research is case study. There are 8 respondents, seven of them are organizers and the other one is the leader of study X program. Researchers collect the data by interviews and observation to respondents. The instrument of research is the writer’s himself who guided by the guide of interview and observation. Degree of trust will be got with using priority of triangulation principal for taking those data. Data that got through process and observation will be analyzed manually. Research results : 1. The leader in X study program has disposed used leadership style of task oriented style 2. In opinion of Contigency Theory by Friedler style of leadership leader of X study program was not effective. In general leadership theory showed some conditions that the style of leadership the leader of X study were not effective some conditions are : work motivation in some organizer areas are week, organizer was not satisfied to the leader,disappointment in circle of some organizers, in level of followers interpersonal connection occured was not healty, communication quality and co-operation among followers were not good, overlapping works among followers, childish followers, and Study X program was the educational organization which special situation which strict rules and centered in any edge including rewarding and punishment.
