The objective of this research is to find out the effect of religious maturity and coping on somatization. The research also tried to inform whether there is a difference in somatization between men and women. The subjects of this research were 92 employees of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. The research data were obtained using somatization scale, coping scale and religious maturity scale. From the data analysis using structural equation model, religious maturity and coping have an influences on somatization, with determination coefficient 0.67. The construct relationship between religious maturity and coping is significant, having a parameter coefficient of 0,62. This result shows that religious maturity has a positive effect on coping, in which the higher the religious maturity level, the better the coping ability. Religious maturity contributed as high as 38,44 % to the increase of coping ability. The analysis also obtained that the construct relationship of coping on somatization is significant, with the parameter coefficient of – 0,38. This result shows that coping has a negative effect on somatization, in which the better the coping ability, the lower the somatization level. Coping ability contributed as high as 14,4% to the decrease of somatization level. The inter-affecting relationship between religious maturity and coping in the result analysis using structural equation model is shown by a two-way-arrow straight line. The t-test showed the difference coefficient of somatization between men and women is 2,040 with p
