Pengaruh Pembelajaran Ekonomi Di SMA Dengan Metode Jigsaw Terhadap Motivasi Berprestasi Dan Prestasi

2006 | Tesis |The objectives of this research are to determine if there is a difference (1) achievement motivation in economics and (2) learning achievement in economics between students who involved in learning process using jigsaw method and usual discussion method. The subjects of this research are all X grade SMA Virgo Fidelis Bawen counted 112 students. The sample was 2 classes (conventional discussion class and jigsaw class) containing 30 students for each class. The sample was taken using cluster sampling method. Design experiments were quantitative research using quasi experimental method with non control group design. Instrument used in this research is questionnaires which referred to likert scale model and multiple choice test. Questionnaire validity was checked using SPSS 10.0 for windows, while test validity was checked using ANATES programme. The data obtained then analysed in two ways : (1) testing analysis condition and (2) testing reseach hipotesis. The hipotesis tested using t-test. The research results show that there is a difference between student achievement who involved in jigsaw method and usual discussion method. The student achievement is more increased when the student were involved in learning process using jigsaw method than in usual discussion method. This conclusion can be seen in increasing mean, that is experimental group pretest 28,88, posttest 61,13 while control group pretest 27,8, post test 46,3. The achievement differences show significant result with significance 5%, t value = 5,887, p = 0,000. The is no significant differences in achievement motivation between experimental group and control group. This conclusion is shown by t value =-0,127, p = 0,830.
