This research had objects as follow : to know the relationship between emotional intelligence, academic self concept, and learning motivation with the academic achievement and to know the differences of academic achievement of the students of Islamic Education of Tarbiyah Faculty of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University based on their educational backgrounds (between Madrasah Aliyah and public senior high school students) and semesters (between the second and sixth semesters students). Subject of this research were 185 students, consisting of 75 second semester students coming from Madrasah Aliyah, 23 second semester students coming from public senior high school, 70 6th semester students coming from Madrasah Aliyah and 15 6th semester students coming from public senior high school. The hypothesis examination used full model and stepwise regression analysis to examine the first, the second, the third, and the fourth hypothesis, two way Varian Analysis to examine the fifth hypothesis. All of the analysis used SPS 2000 of Sutrisno Hadi and Yuni Pamardiningsih IBM/IN/2005 edition.
