2006 | Tesis |This research was aimed at studying the correlation and difference between work motivation and job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the nurses of BPK RSU Kabupaten Magelang. The subjects of the study were sixty nurses that consisted of thirty five permanent nurses and twenty five contract nurses of BPK RSU Kabupaten Magelang. The data were obtained through three scales, namely organizational commitment scale, work motivation scale, and job satisfaction scale. The observation and interview method were used to support them as well. The data were analized with multyvariate regression analysis and one-way anova. The result of the research showed that work motivation and job satisfaction were insignificant in correlation with organizational commitment (F : 0.991 ; R2 0.034 ; p : 0.621) for the nurses of BPK RSU Kabupaten Magelang. Insignificant between work motivation with organizational commitment (F : 1.237; R2 0.021; p :0.270). It was also insignificant between job satisfaction with organizational commitment (F : 0.745; R2 0.013; p : 0.604). The one-way anova showed that the mean difference of organizational commitment was very significant between the permanent nurses and the contracted nurses of BPK RSU Kabupaten Magelang (p 0.000; MeanA1 79.743 > MeanA2 71.360). Mean difference of work motivation also was very significant between the permanent nurses and the contracted nurses (p 0.001; MeanA1 123.429 > MeanA2 112.480). Mean difference of job satisfaction showed difference was very significant between the permanent nurses and the contracted nurses (p 0.002; MeanA1 138.657 > MeanA2 128.040).
