HUBUNGAN ANTARA KOMITMEN ORGANISASI DAN MOTIVASI KERJA DENGAN KINERJA KARYAWAN DI BALAI BESAR PEND

2006 | Tesis |This study is conducted to find out the correlation of organizational commitment and work motivation, simultaneously or partially, with performance of employees in Social Welfare Training and Education Bureau (BBPPK) of Yogyakarta. The amount of population that is all employees of BBPPK of Yogyakarta is 105 people. A sample of 60 people as subjects of the study is taken by using a purposive random sampling technique and data of the study are obtained by using a quesionery of organizational commitment and work motivation, and also a form of performance assessment. The assessment system uses Likert scale and the data are analyzed by two-predictor regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant correlation of organizational commitment and work motivation, simultaneously or partially, with performance of employees (R = 0.636; significance level p = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.404 (40.4%). This shows that independent variables used (organizational commitment and work motivation) can eXplain well dependent variables (performance of employees). The contribution weight of the predictor obtained shows that the organizational commitment is more dominant in increasing the performance of employees (SE % = 24.963) than work motivation. (SE% = 15.473) The organizational commitment has a positive and significant correlation with the performance of employees (partial r = 0.544; p = 0.000) and the work motivation and the performance of employees do (partial r = 0.454; p = 0.001).
