Pekanbaru Chinesse and native people differented in their choice of residential place, chineses preferred to live in “ruko” (a house that simultaneously store functios). The ruko was separate from village where native people lived. The purpose of the study to find out the difference between WNi Chinesse and native society in choosing resident from study of value and sosial support. Both the choice of residential place and sosial support by scale, study of value by Alport was used to measure value evaluation of the subjects. Data was analyzed by anakova result of this study showed that no significant between value oriented theory in each group in choosing resident. Data analyses showed that value oriented theory sig 0,901 > 0,05, economic sig 0,624 > 0,05, sosial sig 0,956 > 0,05, esthetic sig 0,257 > 0,05, politic sig 0,257 > 0,05 and religion sig 0,395 > 0,05.
