TEORI SOSIAL-KOGNITIF DALAM MENJELASKAN PRILAKU MAKAN SEHAT PADA ANAK YANG MENGALAMI OBESITAS

This research was aimed to find out the relationship between determinants of social cognitive theory wit h healthy eating. The determinants of social cognitive theory used for this research was self-efficacy, outcome expectations, and nutrition knowledge. The subjects of this research were 200 children from Cita Hati Elementary Christian School. The subjects were divided into two groups, 100 children with normal weight and 100 with obesity problem. The sorting of the subjects was done by measuring the height and the weight, using Body Mass Index (BMI). The research also took data from some mothers, to get additional data about eating rules in the family and their children’s habits. The method of collecting the data in this research was quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative method used questionnaires and multiple choice test. This research used 3 questionnaires, as healthy eating behavior, self-efficacy, and outcome expectation questionnaire. Knowledge of nutrition was measured with multiple choice test. Qualitative method used interview with 5 women, 3 children that have normal weight, and 3 obesity children. The result of regression analysis showed that there is no relationship between self efficacy and healthy eating behavior (F = 0.720; p(0.397) > 0.05). The result of regression analysis also showed that there is a relationship between outcome expectation and healthy eating behavior (F = 4.611; p (0.033)
