LOCUS OF CONTROL SEBAGAI MODERATOR HUBUNGAN ANTARA PERSEPSI TENTANG DUKUNGAN ORGANISASI DAN KEPERC

This study examined the relationship of perceived organizational support and trust in leadership, as predictor variables, to organizational commitment, as criterion variable. This study also examined the moderating effect of locus of control on the relationship between those predictors and criterion. Eighty lectures of a private university in Yogyakarta were surveyed using four questionnaires. The data was analyzed using regression analysis. Results showed that: a) there was a significant relationship of perceived organizational support, trust in leadership, and locus of control to organizational commitment; R = 0.629, b) perceived organizational support was positively related to organizational commitment; r = 0.502, c) locus of control was negatively related to organizational commitment; r = -0.270, and d) perceived organizational support was more strongly related to increased organizational commitment for externals than for internals.
