EFEKTIVITAS PENDIDIKAN SEKSUALITAS BAGI REMAJA EDUCABLE MENTALLY RETARDED PEREMPUAN UNTUK MENINGKA

This experimental study was designed to develop sexuality education module for female educable mentally retarded adolescence and to test its effectiveness to increase self-protection against sexual exploitation. The subject were 18 female pupils of Sekolah Luar Biasa bagian C Yayasan Pembinaan Anak Cacat Semarang with intelligence score ranging from 50 to 70. The age range from 15 to 20 years old. Analysis of covariance found out that post-test scores of experimental group and control group were significantly different at level 0.01. Experimental group has higher self-protection against sexual exploitation. The Mean scores of experimental group and control group were 19.56 and 15.78 respectively. On the basis of this study it can be concluded that sexuality eduation is effective for increasing selfprotection against sexual exploitation among female educable mentally retarded adolescence. The improvement of the self-protection is supported by : teaching method, relevance with the reality and facilitator qualifications.
