The research is intended to examine the effectiveness of maternal beha vior training in order to decrease attachment disorder of children. Subject of study is mother who have children with attachment disorder. There were 14 subject consisted of mother were recruited from Medan city The collecting data is based on purposive sampling. The process of data collecting done by using attachment scale that maked by researches, diary sheets, target sheets, evaluation sheets, observation and interview. The study is carried out by eksperimental by giving treatment maternal behavior training to eksperimental group. Design of research which is used is pretestposttest control group design. Data analysis technique which is used is non parametric analysis by using of Wilcoxon t-test and U Mann-Whitney to compare eksperimental and control group decrease of attachment disorder. The result of the Mann-Withney U Test showed that maternal behavior training was not significantly effective in order to decrease attachment disorder from high and fair category into poor category (p= 1,000 in prete st ; p= 0,805 in post test). The result of Wilcoxon t-test to experimental group showed that the decrease of attachment disorder were not significant (p=0,092). Overall treatment given (maternal behavior training) to experimental group did not make any significant change in attachment
