KOMPETENSI SOSIAL DITINJAU DARI HARGA DIRI DAN RELIGIUSITAS PADA SISWA PROGRAM AKSELERASI DAN SISW

The purpose of this research was to identify the roles of self esteem and religiousity on social competence and to know the difference of them between students of acceleration and regular programs. Data were collected by the social competence scale, the self esteem scale, and the religiousity scale. The subject were 128 students of a state senior high school in Surakarta, consisted of 57 students of acceleration program and 71 students of regular program. The result of regression analysis on student of acceleration program obtained F = 8,655, p = 0.001 and on student of regular program obtained F = 6,665, p = 0,002 while on all student obtained F = 15,617 (p = 0,000). The result of this analysis indicated that self esteem and religiousity significantly have positive roles on social competence, both among students of acceleration and regular programs. The result of other analysis indicated that the role of self esteem and religiousity on social competence among students of acceleration program (R2 = 0,243) is higher than among students of regular program (R2 = 0,164), but the difference is not significant obtained Z = 0,4528 (p > 0,050).
