HUBUNGAN ANTARA PRASANGKA RASIAL DAN KECENDERUNGAN SENTRIPETAL-SENTRIFUGAL DENGAN KETERTARIKAN INT

The study was aimed to find out : 1) correlation between racial prejudice, centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction. 2) correlation between racial prejudice and centripetal-centrifugal trends. High-prejudice will be related to centrifugal trends and low-prejudice will be related to centripetal trends. 3) correlation between racial prejudice and interpersonal attraction. 4) correlation between centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction. This study also analyze the differences of racial prejudice, centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction among Chinese college and inlanders. The data collecting method used in this study were questionnaires. Respondent will take with purposive sampling among Chinese college and Inlanders in some University in Surabaya. Data will be analyzed with regression analyses and anava, SPS 2000 programmed. The result of correlation and regression analyses provide : there’re no correlation between racial prejudice, centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction (R=0.059;R2=0.003;p=0.639). There are correlation between racial prejudice and centripetal-centrifugal trends (rxy=-0.366; p=0.000). It may be surprising that high-prejudice related to centripetal trends. There‘re no correlation between racial prejudice and interpersonal attraction (rxy=0.042; p=0.501). There’re no correlation between centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction (rxy=-0.053; p=0.613). The result of the anava showed that there are no differences of racial prejudice, centripetal-centrifugal trends and interpersonal attraction among Chinese college and inlanders.
