HUBUNGAN ANTARA ORIENTASI KEPRIBADIAN TIPE A, ORIENTASI KEPRIBADIAN TIPE B, DAN NILAI-NILAI KERJA

The organization’s success in reaching determined target or aim was realization of member’s hard working. This hard working could not be separated from their work motivation. Work motivation could urge and encourage individual work activities. The research aim was to find out the relationship between orientation of type A personality, orientation of type B personality, and work values with work motivation on civil servant (PNS) in Income Raising Agency of Purworejo Regency (DIPENDA Kabupaten Purworejo). The independent variables were orientation of type A personality, orientation of type B personality, and work values, while the dependent variable was work motivation. 54 civil servants were taken as research subjects consist of 25 ones who had type A personality and 29 ones who had type B personality. Random sampling technique was used to determine sample amount. Data were analyzed by regression analysis and one- way anova. This research revealed that subjects who had type A or B personality: 1) had a positive and significant correlation between orientation of personality and work values, with work motivation, 2) had a positive and significant correlation between orientation of personality and work motivation, 3) had a positive and significant correlation between work values and work motivation, 4) did not have a significant difference in work motivation level each other.
