Drug abuse is a very serious problem, not only in Indonesia but also in entire world. The young adult concern to the drug abuse prevention formally seen on their participation in volunteer activities. Being a volunteer or not, as the behavior that they had showed, needs a mature consideration. Caring attitude and willing to help everyone are form of prosocial behavior. The objective of this research is to explain the intention of being a volunteer of drug abuse using Theory of Planned Behavior. The component that influence such intention are attitude toward prosocial behavior of drug abuse volunteer, subjectives norms prosocial behavior of drug abuse volunteer, and perceived prosocial behavioral control of drug abuse volunteer. The subject of this research is student of Psychology Faculty of Universitas Islam Indonesia. Total subjects are 322 student (N=322), 96 male and 215 female. The methode of this research is using Scale of Semantik Diferential Data of Atttitude, subjective norm, and perceived prosocial behavioral control of drug abuse volunteer. The result of this research are : 1) Attitude, subjective norm, and perceived prosocial behavioral control of drug abuse volunteer in a collective manner influence on the intention to became a volunteer. There also known that 45,4% the intention to became a volunteer could explained by the three of variable together. 2) As detailed there known that subjective norm variable toward drug abuse volunteer prosocial behaviour gave 43,6% contribution to influence the intention to became a volunteer.Perceived prosocial behavioral control of drug abuse volunteer variable just gave 1,6% contribution to influence the intention to became a volunteer. Attitude toward prosocial behaviour of drug abuse volunteer did not give any contribution to influence the intention to became a volunteer.
