The purpose of this study is to know the correlation between social support of partner and life optimism with depression of coronary heart disease patients. There are three hypotheses of this study : (1) there are negative correlation between social support of partner and life optimism with depression of coronary heart disease patients.(2) There is a negative correlation between social support of partner with depression of the coronary heart disease patients.(3) There is a negative correlation between life optimism with depression of coronary heart disease patients. This study used purposive sampling to get the samples. The Subjects of this study were 40 coronary heart disease patients of the RS Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta. Every subject was given three scales : the social support of the partner scale, the life optimism scale, and the depression scale. Regression Analysis was used as a statistical method.
