PERAN EFIKASI DIRI, OPTIMISME, DUKUNGAN DOSEN PEMBIMBING TERHADAP STRES MAHASISWA YANG SEDANG MENYU

This research aimed to examine the role of self efficacy, optimism, and mentor support to the stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis. Subject of this research consisted of 73 students who were writing thesis and had performed guiding process with their mentor. The hypotheses proposed in this research were: (1) the higher the self-efficacy by controlling the optimism and mentor support, the lower the stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis; (2) the higher the optimism by controlling the self-efficacy and the mentor support, the lower stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis; and (3) the higher mentor support by controlling the self-efficacy and optimism, the lower stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis. The result of the partial-correlation analysis showed that (1) there was negative significant correlation between the self-efficacy by controlling the optimism and mentor support, and the lower the stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis (r = -0.357; p0,05); and (3) there was negative significant correlation between the mentor support by controlling the self-efficacy and optimism, and the stress experienced by the students who were writing thesis (r = -0.233; p
