The research was aimed to know the influence of self improvement training in increasing positive thingking so will reduction axiety in public speaking at students of AKTA IV UIN Malang. Public speaking ability is important to be owned by AKTA IV students as a lecture candidate, however in the reality, still many students have anxiety in public speaking. Cause of anxiety public speaking mostly is low positive thinking. Individual will be able to think positive if be able to recognizing his self, comprehend his potency, looking into problems as it is and have positive expectation. Self improvement training was given to assist to improve positive thinking and degrade anxiety in public speaking. Subject of study is the Students of AKTA IV UIN Malang counted 22 who have strong level of low positive thinking and high level in anxiety in public speaking. Traing conducted during two days. The used scale was positive thinking scale and anxiety in public speaking scale which given at pretest, post test, follow up 1 and follow up 2nd. Data analysis used in this study is t-test on SPS program. The result show that self improvement training gave influencing to increasing positive thinking and reducing anxiety in public speaking, this matter cen be seen from increasing average value in pretest 39,182, post test 72,636, follow up 1 75,818, follow up 2nd 76,409, and p=0,000. There were do differencies in positive thinking after training and 15 days later,t=1,591; p=0,113, and after 29 days later too, t=-1,887; p=0,061. There were differencies in anxiety in pubic speaking after training and 15 days later, t=2,444; p=0,016, and also after 29 days t=4,353; p=0,000.
