The research with title Demonstrators’ Behavior viewed from the Role of Rearing, Religion Norm instilling and Mass Media was aimed at understanding the correlation between the demonstrators’ behavior and child-rearing, religion norm instilling, mass media either simultaneously or separately. The research method includes research subject, the instrument to collect data and data analysis. The subjects were 121 even semester students who had experience to join demonstration in the 2003 academic year of Law Faculty, Letters Faculty, Social and Politic Science in Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. The instrument to collect data was scale by Likert with form of five choice. The scale consisting of statements, before they were used they were tried out to 37 students who had experience to join demonstration and would not be used to be research subjects. Data were analyzed using multiple regression technique. There were five independent variables and one dependent variable (Y). The five independent variables were child rearing that had tendency to be authoritarian (X1), authoritative (X2) or permissive (X3), religion norm instilling (X4) and mass media (X5). The hypotheses of the research are: 1. There is a correlation between students’ behaviors and child - rearing, religion norm instilling, and mass media simultaneously. 2.There is no correlation between authoritarian rearing and demonstrators’ behavior; 3. There is no correlation between authoritative rearing and demonstrators’ behavior.4. There is a positive correlation between permissive rearing and demonstrators’ behavior; 5. There is a positive correlation between religion norm instilling and demonstrators’ behavior; 6. There is a positive correlation between mass media and demonstrators’ behavior. Analysis technique: regression with level of significance 0.05; the data were processed using SPSS version 11, For Windows 1998. . Conclusion: there is a significant correlation between independent variables simultaneously and student demonstrators’ behavior; there is no significant correlation between authoritarian and student demonstrators’ behavior. There is no significant correlation between authoritative and student demonstrators’ behavior. There is a positive and significant correlation between permissive and student demonstrators’ behavior, religion norm instilling and mass media. The size of contribution of multiple regression is R ² = ,204; the contribution of each independent variable in simple regression as follows: model 1=, 000; model 2=, 000; model 3=, 088; model 4=, 069; model 5=, 146.Thhr relative Contribution of each variable as follows: SRX3=27,23%; SRX4 =19,22%; SRX5 = 53,55%.
