PERBEDAAN PROFIL KEPRIBADIAN PADA MAHASISWA PELAKU DAN BUKAN PELAKU PLAGIAT

Plagiarism is a kind of dishonesty behavior which taking and using another's writing as one's own. The three basic factors underlying the plagiarism are technology supporting, lacking power of the exam official in charge, and personality deviation. The last factor is the dependent variable. Two type of task are weekly tasks and take home exams. Seventy-six students who attend the social psychology class have completed two scales, i.e. the Gadjah Mada University Personality Scale and the LOC IPC Levenson Scale. Comparing with 63 honest students, 13 plagiarized students do not significantly have four tendencies in their personality (F anxiety = .827 p>.05; F dependecy = .989 p>.05; F obsessive-compulsive = .108 p>.05; F psychopath = 1.028 p>.05). They also tend to be external orientation. Key words: plagiarism, personality deviation, inexplicit rules
