Kindergarten-age-children consist of preschool-age-children (Patmonodewo, 2000). Today, the physic development and language capability developing and forming rapidly (Rachmadi, 2002). According Papalia & Olds (1986) the preschool-age-children have communicating with their friends and the adult by the language capability. The language help the preschool-age-children for ask and gain their desire, be able to take care, and controlling themselves. The acquisition vocabulary indicating the language capability of preschool-age-children (Stanford-Binet in Gregory, 1996). Two factor among many factor assumed be increasing the vocabulary acquisition including intelligence (Hurlock, 1972) and reviewing on television activity (Bee, 1981; Rice et al., 1990). This study have aim to know the relationship intelligence and reviewing on television activity with vocabulary acquisition of kindergarten-age-children. This study used the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test form A by Lloyd M. Dunn and adapted by Hamboro (1995), Coloured Progressive Matrices by J. C. Raven and Review on television of Children Diary. The subjective of this study were the kindergarten-age-children which five to six years old, boys and girls, have the normal physically and mentally, using Javanese and Indonesian language at their school and their home, and using the curriculum made in 1994. Sampling technique that was purposive sampling. The amount of subject were 40 children from TK Mutiara Persada Yogyakarta and TK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta. The result of regression analysis showed that F value = 0,311 (p = 0,735) and R = (R=0,129; R2=0,017). This meant that intelligence and reviewing on television activity was not predictors toward vocabulary acquisition of kindergarten-age-children. The conclusion of this study that the hypothesis was refused.
