South Sea pearls that have an Indonesian origin ruled the world market with the largest pearling species in Indonesia, Pinctada maxima. Pearl market developments later experienced a decline due to the production of quality pearls that are still far from market demand. A lack of technological development of quality pearls is a possible reason for this. One of the solutions is harvesting the pearls early because there is no need to wait until the deadline that is usually three years in the future. This will also allow inspections of the pearls about their quality through this Oyster cultivation process. The inspection is limited to one of the parameters of the quality of the pearls that is the diameter of the pearls in oysters. X-ray radiography is used to inspect the pearls in the oysters. We can use the relationship of the diameter with the age of the pearls to find the best time to harvest the pearls when the desired diameter is reached. This is able to be done because the intensity of the image is related to the diameter of the pearl. The results of the inspection of six individual oysters Pinctada maxima showed that radiograph image showing a significant difference between oysters that contain and oysters that do not contain a pearl. Growth line hinges have no effect on the growth of the diameter of the pearls. The larger the diameter of the pearls, the greater the intensity of the image of Pearl. The older oyster, the larger the diameter of the pearls. The Diameter of the pearls with a certain size, 1.12 cm can be obtained within 24.5 months.
