ANALISA METODE PULSE ECHO MENGGUNAKAN REPRESENTASI A-SCAN PADA BETON BERLUBANG; ANALYSIS OF PULSE ECHO METHOD USING A-SCAN REPRESENTATION ON HOLLOW CONCRETE

Presentation of data ultrasonic waves (40 KHz) by hollow concrete detector are still using conventional tools such as analog oscilloscopes. A-scan, B scan and C-scan is a method of data presentation NDT (Non Destructive Testing) in the test with ultrasound. Presentation of data with A-scan is a one-dimensional presentation of data that can explain the relationship between the distance of the hole of an object and changes in wave amplitude. This research aims to present the data of hollow detection of concrete with representation of A-scan and can be displayed on the computer. Ultrasonic waves are received by the wave reflection of ultrasonic testing using the reflected pulse (Pulse echo). The hollow detector of concrete connected to a computer using a PC interface Instrustar oscilloscope. The wave displayed on a computer using software Multi VirAnalyzer that is a software from PC oscilloscope Instrustar. Multi VirAnalyzer has a wave spectrum analysis features that can change the appearance of the wave from the time domain into the frequency domain. Changes in the intensity of the voltage amplitude showed the hole spacing on the inside of the concrete. This research shows that the shorter the distance of the hole then the greater the intensity of the voltage amplitude. Conversely the farther the hole distance, the intensity of the voltage amplitude is getting smaller.
