The Takagi factorization is a symmetric form of the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). This final project explains how to compute the Takagi factorization of a complex symmetric tridiagonal matrix T by the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of Hermitian matrix TTH. This final project also explains how to compute the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of TTH by Divide-and-Conquer method based on rank-one modification of the symmetric eigenproblem.
