2016 | Disertasi | FMIPAWest Nusa Tenggara is one of province in Indonesia which is consist of eight regency with many natural potency. This potency can be beneficial for the tourists who want to come, also for the investors who want to invest in many sectors e.g tourism, agriculture and many more. For this reason, it is important to the local government to provide a comprehensive information about the potentials offered. Each regency government provide information about their region through their own website. The problems is, the informations provided is just a formal and not comprehensive. The searching facility is also does not give a desired informations. One of the solution that can be use to tackle this problem is to develop a question answering system using semantic web technology. The system can learn and discover informations from more than one ontology, so it can provide comprehensive answer. Semantic web technology allows us to create complex and meaningful ontology by adopting OWL 2 standard. The complex and meaningful expressions of OWL 2 only can be beneficial if reasoning process is involve in the query process to gather implicit informations which may exists in the ontology. System also can search additional informations related to the subject of question from outside of the ontology so it can provide a comprehensive answer. This research aims is to develop a question answering system using semantic web technology which use more than one ontology domain as its knowledge base so it can provide comprehensive information about the questioned things. Tests results shows that the system can answer 70 percent of questions posed in formal bahasa format. It also can find and discover additional informations from DBPedia Indonesia server.
