2016 | Disertasi | FMIPAA magnetic field measurement had been done around the Merapi volcano, Yogyakarta, after its eruption on 2010. The objectives of this study are to analyze magnetic data and to compare the data with other magnetic data measured before the eruption of Merapi volcano 2010.A qualitative interpretation was carried out by analyzing the total magnetic field anomaly of Merapi vulcano, while a quantitative interpretation was carried out by modelling the structure beneath the Merapi volcano Total magnetic anomaly maps show magnetik value of -1600 nT to 600 nT. Negative anomaly was foundto the northwestern area of Merapi volcano, i.e. Boyolali region, after the 2010 eruption, while that of negative anomaly was not previously not seen in the anomaly maps before the 1997 eruption. 2.5D modeling using Mag2DC for windows(based on local anomaly contour from continuation at elevation of 9500 meter above sea level)resulted in the anomaly closure with high contrast value to the eastern area of Merapi volcano (Boyolali region), interpreted magma.
