Field “CT” is located in South Sumatera Basin formed in Pre–Tertiary to early Tertiary period and occurs a complicated geological processes in Late Tertiary period. The purpose doing structural modelling is to predict how the process of the trap of hydrocarbons occur and also determine the direction of hydrocarbon migration. This study restricted in effort to make a hydrocarbon accumulation zone and a potential sandstone reservoir zone by using seismic attribute RMS amplitude analysis and distribution of acoustic impedance value. The data used in this study are 3D seismic post-stack, well log, marker data, and checkshot data. Inversion of acoustic impedance method used is a model-based method. Based on the structural modelling, field “CT” divided in III zone, and from the geological analysis, drill steam test value, and seismic attribute RMS amplitude, decided that zone II is the place where the hydrocarbon accumulated. Acoustic impedance value in this zone is 27000 ft/s*gr/cc – 28000 ft/s*gr/cc. Seismic attribute RMS amplitude value is correlated with accoumulation hydrocarbon. After overlay map of acoustic impedance distribution value and seismic attribute map, got the propose area in northwest of well M3.
