PENGUKURAN KONSENTRASI GAS ASETON PADA UDARA AMBIEN DAN GAS HEMBUS MASYARAKAT DI TPST PIYUNGAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA MENGGUNAKAN SPEKTROMETER FOTOAKUSTIK LASER CO2; MEASUREMENT OF ACETONE GAS CONCENTRATION ON THE AIR AMBIENT AND HUMAN BREATH IN PIYUNGAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA LANDFILL USING CO2 LASER PHOTOACOUSTIC SPECTROMETER

2016 | Disertasi | FMIPAThe photoacoustic spectrometer had been optimized. The characterization performed included CO2 laser and absorption lines scanning, determined resonance curve and quality factor, then measurement of noise thus obtained the quality factor of (14,8 +0,7) and the lowest detection limit for this setup was (109,871 + 0,002) ppb for acetone gas in 10P20 CO2 laser line. Then, this photoacoustic spectrometer was used to measure gas concentration of acetone in ambient air and breath sample of people living in near the Piyungan Bantul Yogyakarta landfill. The result from experiment show that photoacoustic spectrometer with multicomponent analysis method enable to measure the lowest concentration of volatile organic compound (VOC), such as aseton, which occured on ambient air in Piyungan landfill. Variaty of distance area applied in this research. In the range of +0.5 km from landfill, we obtained the concentration of aseton gas in ambien air was (0.2740 + 0.0007) ppm and average of acetone gas concentration for human breath was (1.0989 + 0.0007) ppm, while in the range of +45 km from landfill the concentration of aceton gas was (0.1420 + 0.0007) ppm and average acetone gas concentration for human breath was (0.2734 + 0.0007) ppm. Acetone gas concentrations in ambient air and exhaled gas decreased along with increasing distance of the landfill.
