Study of Mn(II) and Fe(II) adsorptions by synthetic humus in acidic medium has been carried out. The purposes of this research are to characterize synthetic humus in acidic solution, to determine the mass of dissolved components in acidic condition, and to evaluate Mn(II) and Fe(II) adsorptions by synthetic humus. The research was started with isolation of synthetic humus in acidic solution at pH 4 and characterization of the humus using IR spectrometer. Mn(II) and Fe(II) adsorption study was conducted by interacting synthetic humus with cation solutions. Concentration of cations in solutions after adsorption were determined using AAS method. Characterization material using IR spectrometer shows humin is the most stable component of synthetic humus in acidic environment. This is indicated by the profile of IR spectra of humin similar to synthetic humus after being conditioned in a solution of pH 4. The maximum dissolved component of synthetic humus in acidic conditions is 8,44%. The kinetics of Mn(II) and Fe(II) adsorptions by synthetic humus follow pseudo second order kinetics with values of k 1.7 × 10-1 min-1 and 5.22 × 10-2 min-1 of Mn and Fe respectively. Mn2+ adsorption is fitted with isotherm Freundlich model with equilibrium constant values of K
