STUDI HUBUNGAN ANTARA TETAPAN SUSEPTIBILITAS, STRUKTUR KRISTAL, DAN UKURAN BUTIR PADA NANOPARTIKEL MAGNETIK ZINC FERRITE (ZnFe2O4); STUDY ABOUT THE CORRELATION OF THE SUSCEPTIBILITY CONSTANT, CRYSTAL STRUCTURE, AND GRAINZ SIZE OF MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES ZINC FERRIT (ZnFe2O4)

2016 | Skripsi | FMIPAZinc Ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanoparticles have been synthesized by co-precipitation method. Synthesis ZnFe2O4 was done by mixing Zinc (II) sulfate septahydrate (ZnSO4•7H2O) and Iron (III) chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3•6H2O) with Natrium hydroxide (NaOH) as a co-precipitant. Precipitation temperature and duration of stirring varied to control the particle size. The X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) results show that the crystallite size of ZnFe2O4 are 7,84 ± 0,02; 8,00 ± 0,04; 8,33 ± 0,02; 8,66 ± 0,03; and 9,61 ± 0,02 nm with lattice parameters 8,486 ± 0,006; 8,435 ± 0,012; 8,435 ± 0,006; 8,429 ± 0,008; and 8,444 ± 0,006 ? respectively, increase with decreasing of the crystallite size. Susceptibility constant measurement of ZnFe2O4 using Gouy method show susceptibility constant value of ZnFe2O4 are (1,6 ± 0,2) × 10?6; (1,2 ± 0,2) × 10?6; (7,7 ± 0,9) × 10?7; (6,8 ± 0,6) × 10?7; and (4,2 ± 0,4) × 10?7 m3/kg respectively, increase with decreasing particles size and increasing lattice parameter of ZnFe2O4.
