Detection of open green space in an area-based digital image processing is one of the systems that utilize digital image processing as detection of open green space in the area of green trees and calculate the area of the area. This system is an early stage in the detection of open green space in an area by using digital image processing by using aerial photographs. Detection area of green trees using the HSV color processing by converting RGB image into HSV later detection of HSV color. HSV values used are 26 to H at a minimum, 45 to S minimal, and 0 for V minimum. Then for the maximum range is 65 to H maximum, maximum and 255 to S 255 V maximum. Results of detection of noise because there are still some objects that have the same HSV values. Results of the HSV color detection is then done HSV threshold process to separate the object with the background. Results from the threshold of green trees that are detected in the form of white pixels. White pixel counting process is then performed to determine the broad area of greenery that is detected by the system. Wide results in the system is still affected by the threshold value of the detected object. So that the object is calculated as a broad grass on areas of greenery.
