‘Mutiara’ field is a gas field in Indonesia that have gas proven reservoir of carbonate debris flow. This Oligo-Miocene debris flow is a re-deposited carbonate located on the outer slope of a large carbonate platform. Acoustic impedance inversion can be used to identify character and reservoir distribution based on impedance acoustic and porosity value. The result from this research is expected to map carbonate debris flow distribution and to determine hydrocarbon prospect area. The datas that used in this study are Post Stack 3D seismic data, geological data, well data, and checkshot. This study used model based inversion for seismic inversion process. Seismic inversion analysis produced acoustic impedance volume and slicing map which is used to estimate the porosity value. Range of acoustic impedance value in carbonate debris flow reservoir with low water saturation is obtained about 23.000-25.000 ((ft/s)*(gr/cc)) and the porosity value about 16-19 %. Based on slicing map, the distribution of acoustic impedance and porosity in reservoir zone have trending northeast - southwest. The distribution trend from both parameters have correlation with depositional model of carbonate debris flow in ‘Mutiara’ field which is north east - south west. Southeast area from this field is recommended as further development well location.
