2016 | Skripsi | FMIPAThe electrochemical degradation of Naphtholat As-D dye in batik wastewater were using graphite electrodes has been done. The wastewater samples were obtained from Home Industry in Karangkulon village, Wukirsari, Imogiri, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The purposes of this research were to determine the concentration of the electrolyte solution, contact time and current density of the dye compounds degradation process in batik wastewater. The effectiveness of dye compounds degradation processes were conducted using electrolysis apparatus and compared to commercialized electrolysis apparatus. This research was started by determination of maximum wavelength and standard curve on pH 10. This step was followed by the determination of optimum conditions of electrolysis process include the time of contact, NaCl electrolyte concentration and current density. The electrolysis process was then applied in batik wastewater at optimum conditions. The results showed that the optimum conditions of electrolysis process are maximum wavelength at 394 nm, NaCl electrolyte with concentration of 2 M and current density of 0.3 A for 60 min. The effectivity of conducted electrolysis apparatus was 6.45% which close with the commercialized electrolysis apparatus, which was 7.47%.
