Petrophysics calculation as petrophysics parameters and cut off calculation have been done on Astro Field. This research aims to determine hydrocarbon prospect zone, and to determine the direction of directional drilling for Astro Field, specially Telisa Formation. This research uses Ms.Excel software. The volume shale value determined from Steiber 3 formula. The effective porosity determined from Density – neutron porosity formula. The water saturation determined from Indonesia formula with parameters value of a=1, m=1.75 and n=1.8 Rw=1.5 – 1.6 ohmm. Permeability value determined from Coates – Dumanoir formula. Each petrophysics calculation calibrated to the core data to get the best result. The result of this research shows there are 6 potential reservoirs on Astro Field.Vsh value are about 0.2 -0.37, 0.18 – 0.31 for the porosity, 0.32 – 0.44 for the water saturation, and 0.84 – 10.56 mD for the permeability. The petrophysical parameters have a good enough value, except the permeability. It may caused by Kaolinite on the lithology shows by XRD. Hydraulic fracturing is needed to make a larger permeability value to product the hydrocarbon. While directional drilling is needed for maximum productivity. The next step is calculating the Hydrocarbon Pore Volume (HCPV), this step aims to determine hydrocarbon total content in each reservoir. Direction of directional drilling oriented to the reservoir with highest values of HCPV and net pay .
