2015 | Skripsi | FMIPAThe phenomenon of the spread usually characterized by the existence of two competing processes. On the spread of corrosion, competition occurs between power of the solution with the corrosion resistance of the surface of a metal. The value of resistance to corrosion of the surface area of metal follow a random system, so that the pattern of spread of corrosion on the surface becomes irregular. Therefore, in this study I use site percolation model to determine the pattern of spread of corrosion. The simulation results show the different patterns and corrosion dynamics when power value of the solution is varied. The simulation results also indicate the emergence of two regimes that happen, smooth regime and random regime. Smooth regime characterized by corrosion face shape is almost similar to previous face shape. While the random regime is characterized by the emergence of a random pattern on the face of the spread of corrosion.
